Just received an almost identical text message: "...Under the supervision of DOH its re-with your Free Family Medical Card and a Gift Cheque Certificate worth 6800 w/c is 2 weeks pending here at Releasing Center. Ur MEDICAL CODE-.KMF-0629. Kindly call our hotline..." What crock! These people are even worse than that Family First company from before. They may have had aggressive marketing strategies but at least they really paid off the premiums.

I am a former employee of Caritas. Marketing strategy po ito ng isang agency nila which hindi naman po employee ng Caritas. This is their way to boost up their sale. Maganda naman talaga ang benefits ng Caritas if you will transact with their real sales agents. Yung mga nagtetext at tumatawag, hindi naman talaga alam yung benefits and hindi naman nila naeexplain ng maayos. Do not judge the company kasi marami naman legitimate na planholders yung company na na-eenjoy yung benefits ng healthcard nila.

Hi guys..
So I end up calling my provider to ask if may ganung benefits nga kong mkukuha sabi ng SUN scam po yan. Kaya sa Monday pag tumawag ulit humanda sila

to the Caritas health Shield employees and officer, I think you need to be aware of this as well, nasisira un pangalan nyo because of those people na manloloko. If your company is really concern with the other people, you need to make a move to stop this kind of scam. Paano if someone that are really Caritas employee talk to us do you think maniniwala kami, knowing that may mga scammer. So for your company protection din, do something about this.

Hi. Siguro nga may mga scam like these but not Caritas. i tell you, it's real. And in fact their medical card has been helpful to me especially now that I became sickly. At first I was hesitant pero I searched yung place and I found out na sa Ayala, Makati ito. And to my surprise, nasa loob pa sila ng LAW building. Takot na lang siguro nila kung magloko pa sila dba. I tell you, CARITAS HEALTH SHIELD IS NOT A SCAM. LALO NA SA MAKATI. I AM A PARENT MYSELF. I JUST WANT YOU GUYS TO ENJOY THIS BENEFIT. JUST A TIP: IF THERE IS REALLY NO PEACE IN YOU, YOU CAN BRING A POLICE WITH YOU. JUST TO MAKE SURE SA IBANG BRANCH. PERO IN MAKATI, I GUARANTEE YOU. THEY ARE NOT SCAM. SIGURO NGA UBOS NA PERA KO NGAYON KAKAPAOSPITAL. BUTI NA LANG MAY CARITAS.

it's not that I am being defensive here. Kawawa lang kasi yung company. Nasisiraan. And as their client, I am very much satiafied with their offer. God bless everyone.

As far I I know, the office of Caritas Health Shield is in E. Rodriguez in front of PCSO. I went there yesterday for a seminar. And as far as I remember, text messages like that are not really honored in Caritas. My parents have been members of Caritas for 6 years or so and we have been a recipient of the benefits they get from this health insurance. Believe me, I am very sickly, I go to the hospital on a daily basis before, and my consultations are costly, but because of Caritas, we pay less. And maybe there are those people who use the name of Caritas for scam. Just be very picky with who you talk to. Know the details. Dont just say yes to everything they say. Actually, I really like their plans, again. Just talk to the right agents. :) Dont generalize.
Caritas Health Shield's official and registered hotline is (02) 711-2411 if you received text messages like that, please check it with Caritas, ask them if they have agents or employees with the names you have mentioned.

God bless.

i received a text message yesterday gave my name and address because i'm interested. Somebody called me this morning in my work w/ cp#09354197867 but cut-off our conversation because I was too busy. He got my e-mail add. and promised to mail the mechanics of their program. There was no e-mail so i decided to check their company in the web. I received the same message and actually called the number provided in the text: 024072780. I'm a Caritas Health Shield cardholder so at first I never thought it was a scam, kasi maganda talaga ang benefits nya. I've been a member since 2004. Anyway I called the number and I asked how the FAMILY MEDICAL PRIVILEGE CARD would be different from my Caritas health plan and the woman I talked to said it's because the privilege card is for outpatient and my health card is for hospitalization. Wrong: I use my health card for both. Also, she asked me a lot of questions which lead me to doubt whether I am really talking to somebody validly connected to Caritas kasi why would claiming a freebie entail answering personal questions. The person was also very friendly which is again a red flag for a scam. The thing that led me to search the internet was the address given which was OPL Bldg 100 Palanca kasi the Caritas I know is in Medical Plaza.

i also just received a call from caritas, a asked them WHERE THEY GOT MY NUMBER and they said that it was endorsed by a bank, (weird, because banks never give personal information about their clients ) and asked me the name of the bank!! (really suspicious, if i was by endorsed by a bank why do they need to ask what the bank is??) makulit talaga sila na gusto nila ako magpunta sa office nila, sa OPL Palanca bldg makati.

am actually getting ready to claim mine at OPL Building in Makati. The I searched about it ao i came here. A certain CARLO MADRID called thrice about my PRIVILEGE CARD. It was a good offer, FREE.. I was convinced that it was "legit" coz of a friend who told me about it but am not sure whether the thing that my friend told me was the same with this. Tho' one reader here mentioned that he/she actually went there, and even said that the offer was actually good, I'm totally convinced that it's a scam coz someone here said that he/she is/was working at CARITAS SHILED and there's no affiliation listed about a CARITAS SHIELD located at OPL BUILDING, legaspi Village, MAKATI. I'm supposed to have an appointment at 10 am tomorrow!! YAY!!! And also, he kept on asking about what card I have.. credit card, ATM card.. and when I said (my stupidity) about my credit card, he said "Good".. anyways, I'm not going!!!

This is to warn you about the so called SCAM of the Caritas Health Sheild representatives.

This scam has been around for so many years now and they still keep on practicing it. Why do these guys keep doing it? Simply because there are lots of people that were easily fooled by this strategy.

1. They will send you a text or even call you informing that you were selected among the few to receive benefits from Caritas ("freebies" and or "free health card") and you claim it in their office. They would even ask you to bring your valid IDs, Credit Card etc.

2. Once you drop by to their office, they will let you talk to their representatives/agents to discuss on their insurance before giving you the so called "freebies".

3. Upon discussing with you all the insurance plan, they will convince you so bad and will make some "tricky words" for you to swipe your credit card. Once you swipe your credit card with the insurance plan payment for 1 year, that's it! You're done. If for example they claim that you can cancel the credit card payment after a week, they will deny it straight in your face since there is no written/signed agreement on this matter.

A successful swipe of your credit card means another successful modus operandi for them. Note that you cannot claim a refund of your money once you are billed. It is their legal way of committing fraud so to speak. They already studied all the legalities and you cannot win even if you file a complain about this issue.

Doctors consultation also not included in this package.. so sad.

I think the only way to stop this kind of fraud is to inform others that might soon be their potential target.

*** BEWARE!!! ***
