Sir, It's me Jodie Text Scam

A few days ago, I received an SMS message from Jodie that goes like this:

"Sir, it's me Jodie. Hirap na ko talaga.Payag na ako sa gusto mo kapalit ng nung hinihiram ko sa yo" (text speak converted here for easier reading)

warning, it's just another modus operandi from scammers for possible victims responding for probably sexual favors or sex solicitations but may end up being robbed. An officemate ofmine also received the same text message from 09279483926 but als odidn't reply to evenknow what the mysterious texter would ask for.

  5. Got the same message 04/21 from that mobile#, she's now using Joyce as her name. Posting a warning like this on the net is really helpful so kudos to you.

Some of these scammers would even use a common name like Mike, Michael, Ana etc... so you'd think it's someone who really knows u. These people won't choose whether u're using postpaid or prepaid, they probably have unlimited texting and just scam all day!

There was a time someone sent a message to my bf and it's about the same message. We were really bored that time and just wanted to see what a scammer would do. So we replied and told her we're not interested w/ her offer but we would like to help. We called her and she answered, gave us a website where we can see her photo. It's her grad pic, her story and offer. Saying she's from the province and just needed money to fly to manila where a job interview is waiting. Said she'll do everything to him as she sets foot on Manila airport. I don't think she's that person on the pic, so be careful of posting your pics on websites too. Bad people can just grab it and use it for a scam like this and you won't even have a clue unless someone u know told u so.

So a graduate asking for money to get a job saying she's desperate coz she doesn't have any relatives or friends who can lend her money. So she's broke to ask money from strangers but has a cellphone and load? Smart enough to get a scholarship & graduate but can't get a decent job in her province? c'mon! SCAMMERS SHOULD BE CREATIVE THAN ALL THOSE BS THEY GIVE US SO THEY CAN AT LEAST BE ENTERTAINING Hehe:)
